Cek Toko Sebelah sets the scene of sibling rivalry between Yohan -- the stubborn untrusted elder brother willing to takeover the family business, and Erwin -- the younger brother with a corporate career, refusing the mandate of continuing the family business. The story starts to progress as their father Afuk starts to grow ill and demands that Erwin gives the store a chance. Behind it all, lie memories with their late mother and wife Lili, who is still with the boys in spirit, guiding them through these tough times.

Teater Musikal Cek Toko Sebelah is Jakarta Movin's second film adaptation, following the success of Musikal Petualangan Sherina. All the songs in this show are originals written by the director Nuya Susantono, tackling the added challenge of creating a new sound concept for Cek Toko Sebelah's well known comedy and heartwarming scenes.​
